In his work, Seoul-based artist Ahn Tae Won (b.1993) explores the unnatural but oddly satisfying harmony felt when an Internet meme is built into real life.
Using a process similar to the method of texture mapping, in which a two-dimensional image file is applied onto the surface of a 3D model in a graphic program, the artist distorts the image of the subject from reality and applies to a flat or three-dimensional body by using an air brush.
