                                                    "This painting was done a few months ago. It reached its final state when the lockdown came. I started to lack basic materials like paintings and frames and could not start anything new. I started to accumulate fabric scraps, on which I painted again over and over. 
The original painting was deconstructed and constructed all over again with remains of other works.
It reflects paradoxal feelings such as my will to repair the previous painting, and the representation of the chaos in which the world was plunged." - Stéphane Abitbol, 2020
