This painting is part of a new body of work sparked by the events of 2020. Combining fictionalised stories with real life situations, Holiber explores themes of conflict, violence, and power while holding a lens to human behaviour. The paintings are created using a sculptural technique developed by the artist in which he creates a low relief to paint on. Full of texture and form, these works connect to historical elements of Flemish painting and the New Objectivity.
